Clip and Dip Dog Grooming' LLC

When you get a puppy, you can do a few things when you’re playing with them to make the grooming process on so much easier. 

Grooming is not a natural process for our pets. They go to a strange place and are left with strange people who proceed to do strange things. (Poor babies)

If you hold the bottom of their chins and talk to them, that will help them allow the groomer to control their heads. You can put your finger in their ears and hold their paws. 

It also helps to place an electronic children's tooth brush on their face, next to their ears and in front of their eyes. This will allow them to get comfortable with vibration and noises around their heads. When a puppy is frighten and trying to avoid the noisy vibration around their heads it makes the grooming process dangerous.

But if they have played at home with noisy vibration then it is familiar.

I want my pets coat long! 

 In order to keep length on your pet, you have to keep the hair from getting tangles. The easiest way to do this is to use a metal dog comb. Their hair is just like ours. It tangles, if you don't run a comb through the hair every few days. When you do find a small tangle you can use a children's dangling spray and slicker brush to work the tangle out. Make sure not to hurt your pet while doing this. If it is painful for them they will fight the process and you will both dread it. 

This can be a special time the both of you. 

When you pet has large tangles it is called 

"being matted." The clipper blade will not cut through a matt. It has to cut under it. So if the matt is right next to the skin, you pet will have to be shaved short.
